Acrylic and mixed media

I choose acrylics mostly when I am painting nudes, animals, portraits or more experimental abstract paintings. I have also developed my own way of painting in the dripping technique, which is equivalent to meditative watercolour painting. Painting with acrylic means building up layers of paint, constructing the painting to the point where there is nothing left to do. Sometimes I make painting a la prima, and some I paint for years. I like to use metal in my paintings as well, classic guilding technique, that gives paintings some special glow.
