My painting journey
I started my painting journey rather late in life, in my mid-thirties. My artistic education began at the cozy Arthouse in Ljubljana, where I refined my skill and nurtured my creativity. After my studies, I devoted over a decade to the wonders of wall painting and modern murals, enriching spaces across Slovenia and beyond. After becoming a mother, my focus shifted towards the gentle strokes of watercolour and acrylic. Today I am a proud owner of my own art school where I get to share my love for painting with eager learners. Rooted in my profound connection to nature, my paintings became more than just a representation of it. They became windows to the mystical realm of magic, one that can be felt, but cannot be observed.
International recognition
My artistic journey has been marked by many solo exhibitions here in Slovenia, with meaningful contributions to group showcases abroad. The international community has recognized my watercolour endeavors, such as my painting “Eternal Garden”, which earned a position among the top ten in the Women in Watercolour competition. While I may not enjoy the competitive aspect of such events, they present the opportunity to see the mastery of my fellow artists; the opportunity to learn from their boundless creativity.
Nurturing inner peace
In a world where terms like “value” and “respect” are often in word only, where the truth is often hidden away, I’ve found my sanctuary in nurturing my own hidden peace. It’s a journey of self-discovery and growth, a constant reminder to look inward amidst all of life’s chaos. Through my paintings, I hope to share a slice of that serenity – a cozy corner where viewers can lose themselves in beauty and find a bit of peace in their hearts.
