Why I decided to sell giclee prints
I have resisted making copies of my paintings for a long time. Because I paint a lot, I have a lot of paintings. As selling copies has become quite a common way of marketing art paintings, more and more people have asked me if I sell copies. After a few years of resisting, I just decided to give it a try.
I researched the offer on the Slovenian market and finally came across a master with outstanding credentials who has been dealing with giclee prints for many years. I must admit that I was impressed by the quality of the watercolour prints on paper.
What worried me most was that the copies would not be close enough to the originals.
These high quality giclee prints are so great that I am willing to hand them over. Colours and contrasts are almost identical, and the surface of the painting is as velvety as the original. In addition, they are archival, which means that the colours are durable and they are printed on acid-free paper, which is long-lasting.
Obviously the original still has its undeniable value, but I am very happy that my art is accessible to a wider range of people. With affordable giclee prints, the energy of my paintings can now spread and bring joy to people all over the world. Isn’t that what it’s all about, for people to see them and enjoy them?
