I made this painting after I came back from a walk in the woods, where I usually go. Although the forest is very enchanting in winter, I find the greenery of spring especially delightful. The green cathedrals of the treetops, the birds singing, the translucency of the newly grown leaves. There is a special energy in the air, and I have captured it, therefore saved it in this painting forever.
