I was drawn to color contrasts even while I was studying painting. The more I experimented with colors, learning their characteristics and how they interact with one another, the easier it became for me to express my moods and feelings through my choice of colors. Even today, colors remain my primary means of expression. Red, the most powerful of them all, is particularly evident in the form of a poppy against a green field. The most powerful color, the strongest complementary contrast between green and red. This time, I have softened the poppy and its intensity with its sister color, orange, and a transition into yellow. Always in search of the transition between the visible and the invisible, in search of an energetic structure.
Of course, the poppy is also a powerful symbol. In my paintings, it often appears as a guide to other worlds, as well as a link between here and the beyond.
