“Kissed by the Sun” was born out of a longing for the sun, light, and spring. This winter was particularly harsh. There were very few of those crystal-clear days with snow and sunshine. It was as if even the weather reflected the darkness that had spread across the entire world. Through painting and creating, I transform this energy and bring light into the space. Due to the layering of paint and mask, its image revealed itself to me only at the very end. This time, it was a cherry tree in bloom, filled with fairy-like energy. Full of love, joy, and lightness. Healing for today’s times.
The painting was part of my solo exhibition Beloved Spring (Ljuba ti pomlad) in the atrium of the Miran Jarc Library in Novo mesto (Slovenia, EU, March and April 2026). After that it will exhibited in Art Gallery in Osaka, Kita Ward, from April 17th till 20th. Exhibition is organised by Arrival Gallery.
