Whenever I experience or sense something beautiful, something particularly magical, there comes a need to capture it in a painting. To preserve that magical moment for ever. That is why my paintings are like treasure chests. The inspiration for this painting came from a seaside holiday, where I watched the sea lapping over the pebbles and creating the divine melody of the sea. The shimmering of the rippling water as it played with the pebbles. How enchantingly thrilling. Fairy creatures must surely have been with me. Perhaps even a mermaid or two? After all, their power lies in sound.
