As I often paint meadows in bloom, I like to approach them in new and different ways. For this painting, I developed my own technique of layering colours. This resulted in an interesting, high-contrast painting that shows the plants in unusually contrasting colours for watercolour. It is also captivating for its warmth.
This painting was a part of my summer exhibition in Coffe shop of Arboretum Volčji Potok. Some paintings are rather difficult to frame, but this one! When I placed it in a simple gold frame, it just lit up. The nobility of the metal enhanced the richness of the color tones and contrasts.
