I find September particularly challenging time as the days get shorter and colder. My respond is painting a lot. It’s my way of tuning in to the changes in nature and welcoming the most colourful season of the year. Autumn is providing me with an abundance of amazing, colourful motifs. The birches are calling to me this year in particular. There is something ancient and primal about them and yet so very gentle. Creating is my communication with them.
